I just found Andy--he's in ICU at UC SF Hospital. I talked to him for about 10 minutes.

He'll be in ICU at least through tomorrow, then to a regular room for a couple of days. They think he maybe had a small stroke, but the doctors at Chico hospital loaded him up with the magic clot buster drug before he was transferred so right now, he's doing ok. No paralysis, no speech problems, but he's stoned out of his head and all floaty. He said to tell everybody hi and not to worry. I'm supposed to call him back tomorrow. :)
