You'd have to confirm with the designers, but I think the design is utterly adaptable to public variations.

The designers I chose -- Propel Studios -- are excellent. I can't praise them enough. And I say that as someone who has worked with architects and building designers for a couple decades in various capacities, including a number of clients.
The dudes I worked with -- Tuan Vu and Nick Mira -- were not only creative and talented, but understood what I was looking for in an "Accessory Dwelling Unit" (ADU; what regular folks outside Portland would call a "backyard cottage").
And they do a wide range of work, including a number of commercial, public, and educational buildings.
