Normally, I'd say that the generic version included a generic version of the drug, something along the lines of a Viagra® pill versus a sildenafil citrate pill. Viagra® is just the brand name for "sildenafil citrate". They're the same drug, just a brand name versus a generic.
But the drug here is epinephrine. It's the same drug in the EpiPen® auto-injector and the generic auto-injector.
So ... I don't really understand why Mylan is coming out with a "generic"EpiPen®
