I witnessed a hilarious conversation between father and son on facebook, dad says if Kaepernick can't respect the flag, he's free to leave the country

Son says Kapepernick is "Also free to exercise his first amendment rights... I never get the 'if you don't love/respect/xyz, then leave' argument. It's a free country."
Dad responds, "Just exercising my 1st amendment rights son, or are mine forfeited because I don't agree with him?"
Son zings Dad with, "Of course you have your right, that's why I didn't ask you to leave the country."
