I admit, i'm coming at this from a different view than most. I'm impressed as hell that someone who's not played in a decade can be competent.

given baseball is so difficult a game to perform well at.
I'm the guy who looks at a 32yr old Michael Jordan, 15 years removed from playing ball, hitting .200 in AA baseball and thinks, that's effin amazing.
AA is where they thin out competent players from the incompetents (from people who are actually living the sport) and this guy performed at a baseline level after 15 years away.
