Seems like they both should bow at one of these fests (or NYFF) if they want to start building buzz.

The Hidden Figures event at TIFF suggests to me it's not done yet, but then why not bow late in NYFF, unless they really need to Fall to finish it? Fences seems a good bow at Tellluride but then why not show at TIFF also? It's not at NYFF so if it doesn't show up at Telluride, where does it start it's run?

Not that you HAVE to premiere at a festival of course, but as you've commented, waiting until Nov/Dec as of late has not produced a winner (nominee yes but not winner)
