In response to "you're missing the point" by ML

I agree with you on the point of not having kickers. I kind of like that.


I am only disputing this conventional wisdom that drafting kickers early -- or even keeping them -- is stupid.

If the point is to construct a team to score as many points as possible, in individual games and throughout the season, then why is it stupid to draft a high-scoring kicker before a third-string receiver?

If there is a position open on the starting roster, wouldn't you want to fill it with someone who will score more points for your team than a player who will likely sit on the bench?
