we have farmer markets all over, including a couple that are afternoon to evening, and most small ones have actual farmers...

with produce with some dirt still clinging to the roots.
but we stopped at two places and the tomatoes are in crates 'nestled' individually in excelsior like gift baskets, barrels are used as podiums for their jarred up peaches and jams with goddam lighting these precious jewels.
