However I think there may have been a previous owner.

What I do remember is that HSJ was so far back in the day that domain registration actually cost something. Like hundreds of dollars? Hundred?

So the columnists used eBay to hold a HSJ "yard sale" to raise the funds to register the domain

I think I could contributed press kits and maybe, just maybe even a Winona one ;-)
