Q: Fragrance sensitivities?
Today we got an e-mail from one of our administrators to the effect that a retired employee (who still comes in to work occasionally) has fragrance sensitivities and so we shouldn't wear perfume and should start using unscented laundry detergent, shampoo, deodorant, everything. Carolyn, we don't work in the same building, we don't work on the same projects, and I might be in the same cafeteria with her for two hours a week, tops. "Don't wear perfume" seems fine, but "change up all of your hygiene/laundry products" seems really excessive. Or am I being a jerk?
