In response to "I have fragrance sensitivity. I usually don't say anything, but someone put a really strong, obnoxious plug in air freshener in the hallway outside of" by jnine

ugh, that is so wrong. :/ like HR wrong. I'm sensitive, too; and asked a past coworker

if she could change the very strong and perfumey lotion she'd use after she worked out - she'd go in her office, right near mine (but several feet away), and apparently apply it all over. it made my eyes water and my nose run.

she did change it, after seeing me all drippy.

in high school, a girl in front of me in geometry wore her mom's opium perfume - it made me cry, and she stopped wearing it, at least waiting to apply after that class. oof.

I'm so careful to not wear anything remotely strong, because I've been a scent-victim of coworkers and more too many times. I especially appreciate that many healthcare-type workers are meant to not wear fragrances, because close quarters makes things so much worse. oof.
