Mafic's story below reminded me of one I once heard.....

Factory owners became concerned about excessive pilferage from the plant and installed a security guard to check outgoing workers.

Man comes through the gate with a wheelbarrow piled high with boxes. Guard stops him and thoroughly checks the load...nothing - all the boxes are empty...waves the guy through.

This continues to happen until both men retired. A while later they meet by chance in a bar and the ex-guard says "Okay, nothing I can do about it now but I know you were up to something. What *were* you stealing?"
