so I have an attic that has two rooms, a legal bedroom (has closet) and a bonus room (has no closet). I want to turn this into a guest suite

for when you guys come visit me.
in a guest space, is a twin bed ok? or do I really need larger in case couples visit?
notes:
I have room for a full, but I think it might overwhelm the room some.
I would take my full bed from my room and buy myself a queen, probably.
I would prefer not to spend the money, though.
I have a free twin mattress and box spring from the mart; would just need to buy frame (craigslist, probs).
there is sitting space in the legal bedroom.
I do have a full size air mattress.

twin is fine, if you need more, there is the air mattress, -- nm

I would go for a trundle maybe? Takes up limited space but allows for couples. -- nm*

There needs to be an old box sealed up and left in there for when we come.

I think if you have the full air mattress and space in the living room or wherever (the lounge, rather), the twin in the guest room is fine. -- nm

twin is fine imo (use 4-8 milk crates as the frame and save money that way. Just have a nice frill along the bottom to hide the crates) -- nm
