to me, they have a nice, light essence of the good kind of that; but not everyone likes the pies, so..
(in my mind, the best pumpkin pie is marie callendar's from their sadly rare now restaurants - while there are some decent ones available, there are some *nasty* other versions out there; and it's a bummer that's all some people have known.)
(apparently, I have a lot of thoughts about this, heh.)
