*shrug* aol users as a whole were just as bad as users of any other service were. aol was just bigger.

If I recall the Internet sentiment at the time, it was that AOL was where the masses went.

Absolutely. A friend of mine and I programmed several levels of Doom (the original) using the floorplans of AOL headquarters.

I hated getting the AOL CDs in the mail. CDs are so wasteful :( The floppy disks were reusable. -- nm
