In the last episode, Widmore (through Naomi) offered Miles $1.6 million to go to the island. When he was confronted by the "other side", he told them they'd have to double Widmore's offer.
This connects back to last season, when Ben asks Miles to tell his boss that Ben is dead, and Miles quotes his price as $3.2 million.
