The kids and I binged all of America's Got Talent this week and it was great.

I think Simon's presence really helped step up the quality of the acts, especially the musical acts (X's or no X's, Simon was unafraid to stop a musical act mid-song). Less novelty acts made it through which means less of me screaming at the TV that a guy dancing with his dog was in the final when a more deserving act should have been there.
Regardless of the final outcome, which I don't dispute (Grace is great), I think a number of acts will emerge as winners in the long run. Malevo, the Argentinian dancers, are going places. But by far the most likely successful act is Sam Willis, aka Tape Face. Basically a prop comic/mime, his routines were basic yet the presentation made it hilarious. Honestly I feel his best performance was in the finale after all the votes had been cast and he brought out four fellow performers to pull off a kind of magic balancing act. I was cheering and laughing and applauding all at once.
