Florida (because it's Florida) has a ballot initiative that proponents argue is pro solar power when in fact is con.

The anti-solar power lobby was caught bragging that they'd fooled voters into thinking that the initiative was in their favor when in fact it favors the state's big power monopolies and hurts consumers with rooftop panels.

I assume it's similar to the laws passed in other states that eliminate incentives for solar power and charge consumers for the use of the utility's transmission lines, etc.
