I'm pretty sure he promised compromise with his whole "working across the aisle" thing.

I'm understand not using the word "genocide" while a guest of the Turkish nation, and, perhaps there were some closed door meetings where it was suggested that Turkey own up before joining the EU, but to avoid using the term at all even when discussing the issue here, is very disappointing.
