How do you end up next to your hubby? just chance? have the gate agent do it? ask a stranger to move?

you just check in *as soon as* online check-in opens and pick two seats together, it's never been a problem. -- (edited)

Okay - this sounds logical. SM and I flew together to HI but a travel agent booked his ticket and got him next to me

settle on what was left. I think they figured they'd just end up together...they lucked out after holding up the plane someone eventually relented -- nm

don't pay. just check in 24 hours before you fly (or whatever the airline allows), at that point you can select seats, for free. -- nm
