In response to "... until your bags get lost." by Doctor Spawn

I always pack a day's worth of essentials in my carry on -- just in case.


And I've had one bag delayed in the past two years that I can think of -- and that was on United.

I fly Southwest most often 'cause most of my trips are on behalf of my fraternity, and Southwest is the fraternity's "preferred airline." I can't remember ever having a bag lost or delayed.

They did have to open a checked bag once to re-screen it for security, but even then, a Southwest employee in baggage claim personally delivered the bag to me and apologized for the inconvenience -- which really impressed me.
