Trump wouldn't be this close but for Hillary, and Hillary wouldn't be this close but for Trump. It's an incredible cycle for that fact alone.

Both parties managed to nominate a candidate that America utterly hates.

I don't know if any exit polling was done on the question, but I'd love to see a breakdown of a % of people who are "voting for candidate X" vs. the % "voting against candidate Y" I'd wager the latter is huge.
