For the first one, I understand the feeling, but it's a big gulf from that to voting for a New York billionaire property developer with a history of

doing exactly what you have a problem with.

For the second, that privatisation, deregulation they talk about has been the norm in America for decades, and it's the Republicans pushing for austerity. It's a European view that's kind of right about the Davos class, but largely fails to grasp US politics. They're projecting European neoliberal issues into the American sphere, where they don't really fit.
