When that happened last time (Chirac v Le Pen pere), Chirac won in a landslide.

Hollande is desperately unpopular right now, and the Socialists are split between people pushing socialist solutions and free-market ones. I don't know that they would put up a credible alternative to Le Pen. (But, what do I know?)
