Is Jack around? I have follow up thoughts on yesterday's conversation...

Rambling, but bear with me....

I think the roots of the personalized demonization of political roots actually do surface in the 60's and 70's decline of respect for the office. As the office itself lost stature and the generation who lived through that loss began entering the offices themselves, it was easier to cast ulterior motives on the fellow holders because the public would willing have appetite to assume those ulterior motives as well. Media saturation certainly fanned the embers of mean-spiritedness into a roaring blaze, but the embers began as Boomers chose to not put their faith with government.
