I think I told ST about this just after it happened but here it is again. I had something disturbing happen last year I think.

It's not likely Trump inspired given the timing but of a similar type.
I was walking to the subway after seeing a show, I think it was last year around this time...I was walking up Tremont to go to Park St (I'm mentioning this because znu knows Boston). It was late and I was tired so I was pretty much on auto pilot.
Two young guys passed me and one hissed, "Fuckin' Faggot. Nice suit." The suit was sort of fancy, not a dark conservative business outfit, definitely with some flair.
I got several steps further before I realized what was said and then a few more before it registered that he meant me. I stopped. I almost turned around and chased him down but before my nuts could take over, my brain kicked in and I walked away.
That was sobering. Again, this was before Trump really got going but this was in Downtown Boston, about 5-7 blocks from the Theater District. This sort of thing can happen anywhere.
This was a minor incident and I'm a straight, middle aged white guy so it's not like my life has been full of these types of incidents but/so it was startling.
