If Trump misrepresented himself in the campaign and would actually pursue progressive policies, I'd rather have the non-inciteful version of the same

which would be Clinton.
I'm reluctant to be enthusiastic that electors would give Clinton the EV win because that would be chaotic and we favor peaceful, non-chaotic transfers of power...but what about this process *hasn't* been chaotic? How could someone argue "Trump won fair and square - wait, the electors went with Clinton? That's not fair, he already won, and she already conceded!" We went through chaos in 2000 and the country didn't fall apart, then it shouldn't if the EV flips.
If they would effectively pursue the same policies, Clinton has fewer risk factors.
