If you have two bad candidates you have to turn off some noise to make a choice.

People that voted for Hillary: Email Scandal, Compromised Security Clearance , Treason, Benghazi, Wall Street Insider, Lying (on recording saying she says one thing to public, and does another), WIKI Leaks dribbling out daily stuff.
Trump: Build a Wall, Deportations of Millions of families, Horrible Thin Skin, Attacking Gold Star Families, Muslim Watch Lists, Not allowing people into the country if they were Muslims, Anti NATO,
Both sides had to drown out that noise, because you had two viable choices to pick from.
The above lists aren't what I am saying are all accurate. It's just information that was in the media, that could or could not have been real. So people had to decide and give weights to each item.
There was no EASY choice for a lot of people. This was a hard election.
