But that's probably because you've been surrounded by bad ideas over the last two months.
Actually this idea doesn't do much to offset Trump in the short term, but I've always thought those basics were the most important things people need to learn:
Scientific method teaches problem solving in a systematic way, and demonstrating the validity of an idea with results and not just speculation.
Budgeting (both time and money) is vital to personal success and teaches an awareness of realistic expectations of others.
Civics teaches the importance of definitions and contingency planning in formation of rules, and the conundrum of serving a varied constituency as their elected representative.
The best lessons I think I've ever learned were chess, "empathy" from my old german poli sci professor in college, and serving as a board member.
