Looks like 3 of 15 LGA-BOS canceled which likely resulted in the remaining flights filling up. Reason I see for cancelations -- (edited)

my net read on below - one plane went mechanical. Then another plane (or perhaps the same plane, can't tell) was running late due to repairs. Then another plane (or perhaps still the same plane) went mechanical again.
