The original deathmatch games like Quake and Unreal Tournament had massive 64 player games with autofill rosters.

Probably my best UT CTF moment was on that map with the two castles and the big cliffs in the middle. I had come out of the cliffs chasing a guy

I read that in one of the game modes after so long if a team is way behind, zeppelins and armored trains show up and try to restore some equilibrium -- nm
