I never feel like they're in danger even when directed to look like they're in danger.

Zombie skulls seem to be as delicate as eggshells, and the zombies walk slower than any almost any other natural human predator, so how hard is it to go all counting coup on a herd? Stick and move, stick and move, just don't wear yourself out. I don't see how anyone with any experience with them ends up in a struggle with one.
