Frontline soldiers prepping for an invasion probably don't watch a lot of tv, plus they have orders telling them otherwise. And there were photogs and journalists at D-day, for example. At least one in with the first couple waves (Kapra, I think?).
And nobody would ever believe you if you could tell them the future, no matter how specific you got. Everyone would assume you're a con man.
