It's the damnedest thing. She was the first candidate I wanted to support in the spring, even spent 30 minutes on the phone with her.

This is the exact opposite strategy she wanted to adopt. But she had a horrible convention in May and by end of summer, her team told her, "Either change strategy or get out of the race."
I like Kellie well enough and she is wicked smart. Would probably be a technocrat PM. But yeah, this campaign approach was the final straw for me declining an invite to be Manitoba lead for them.
By that time, O'Toole was looking good to go, so it was a natural fit as several political allies were already indicating their support. Over the last weekend, a buddy and I have basically become "The Manitoba Team" for him.
