Okay, I get what you are saying about working relationships. However, I think you may have an optimistic premise while I have a pessimistic one. -- (edited)

That premise being that in order for a working relationship to matter, the President must have a vision, a view and a policy he already wants to implement. I am thinking that the relationship doesn't matter that much because I think much of the world is terra icognito to Trump. And a Secretary will have to take the lead in those areas.
I don't think Mitt is above criticism. But if the criticism is solely for him calling it like he saw it with Trump, I think the critics are wrong.
As for 12. I am coming around to Romney perhaps recognizing a greater danger in Russia than I saw.
Also, I loathed and still loathe the way Bain Capital made its money. But now, after reading the past few months on what went down with the casinos, Bain Capital seems (in a relative way) the financial institution Jimmy Stewart worked for in It's A Wonderful Life.
