That usually means a power supply issue - could some of the connectors be loose? It might be detecting a dangerous situation & trying to be safe. -- nm

removed the back again, the only two connections i had off went to the mb from the ssd and another for what looks like a smaller board for just a usb

Try the ram suggestion, and search google for others having the issue. Maybe there's something tricky about reconnecting the back. -- nm
