Wes, I've been pretty blunt about the crappy status and stupidity of the Braves lately.

But if we dealt for Sale, we would have:

Sale
Teheran
Colon
Garcia
Dickey

as our rotation with two of Wisler, Folty, and Newcomb waiting in the wings alongside Fried and Patrick Weigel, both of whom are highly regarded and almost ready.

Then, we have a bullpen that should have Vizcaino healthy to join Jim Johnson in anchoring the 9th. JJ had an ERA under 2 from June 1st onward. Plus, we theoretically get back Shae Simmons and Daniel Winkler from injuries. The Braves always expected to have one of the best bullpens in baseball next season. Now, they have viable starters, too.

Their holes in the lineup were at C, 2B, and 3B. 2B should be Albies. We added Sean Rodriguez to play a super-utility guy who gets 500 at bats rotating between second and third.

If the Braves add a viable catcher, they've righted the ship and have a shot at the playoffs. And I say that as one of our harshest critics in recent years. That's why they're going off guys like Archer and Sale. They know that they're in better shape than they deserve to be.
