I was so worried about this effect when I visited Five Guys out here in Portland.

The experience at the Five Guys restaurants in the DC area was so fantastic -- just sublimely good, even when Max wasn't along for lunch -- that I was expecting disappointment.

Thankfully, I was proven wrong. I don't know how they do it, but the food at the Five Guys down the road from is just as good as the ones on the other side of the country.
