...the Chinese general determined our fate more than she did. Not only did he change his mind from her phone call, but he had the foresight to give her his number, and the information about his dying wife, even as she had no idea what he was talking about 18 months later.
Even though we saw the explosion inside the ship kill Costello (or was it Abbott?), I do wonder if our weapons would have hurt the alien ships at all...especially after watching the disappear into mist right after Louise stopped the attack.
