i'm sure no expert on italian politics. (i mean they change governments all the time!). but the few things i have read recently made it seem like.....

renzi had kind of staked his reputation on the outcome. since they've had like over 60 governments in the last sixty something years, it sure doesn't take a lot for people to hang it up if they think they can't form a coalition.
