Actually works. And they don't understand what the GOP leadership actually did.
People generally don't know any more about politics, government operations, checks and balances, policy decisions, etc. than we do about television or film production. They've watched this TV series for eight years, it's a stagnating mess, and suddenly this guy comes along saying he'll reboot the series and make it great again. They don't know that -- behind the scenes -- half the producers have done everything they can to block any sort of success on the show, while the other half of the producers are trying to at least work with the director.
