Those of us from the Midwest are mildly bemused. My neighborhood, up on the slopes at Mt. Tabor (650 ft. elevation) got 4.7 inches of snow. Portland Airport, at the average elevation for the city, reported 2.2 inches of snow.

And this is what that 2.2 inches of snow did to traffic in Portland ...

WE DIDN'T EVEN GET FREEZING RAIN THIS TIME! (www.opb.org)
