Boy, did they pick the wrong person to send this.
"A new report from Accuracy in Media’s Center for Investigative Journalism by Arne Steinberg shows how renowned PBS documentary creator Ken Burns ignored, overlooked or misrepresented essential facts in his popular TV productions in order to further the left-wing agenda. Burns’ films are regularly shown in public school classrooms, misinforming America’s next generation of citizens.
Burns is a politically active left-winger whose “documentaries” obsess over racial prejudice while ignoring the historical role of Hispanics.
“In his June, 2016 Stanford commencement speech attacking candidate Donald Trump, Burns hit all the obligatory left-wing mantras,” writes Steinberg. Burns said, “As a student of history, I recognize this type…the prospect of women losing authority over their own bodies, African Americans again asked to go to the back of the line, voter suppression gleefully promoted, jingoistic saber rattling.”
“When Burns endorsed Barack Obama for the U.S. presidency in December 2007, he compared Obama to Abraham Lincoln,” continues Steinberg, recounting how Burns wrote that Obama had “walked us back from the brink.”
Steinberg’s report, “Ken Burns: Student of History—Or Left-Wing Gasbag?” reveals that:
Burns not only compared the late Senator Ted Kennedy to Ulysses, but created a eulogy video for his funeral.
His many documentaries—including “The War,” “Unforgivable Blackness,” and “The Central Park Five”—are riddled with serious errors."
