They were told it was sensitive, need-to-know info. And they were told a week ago, at least. The photo op was a stupid idea, but NYC and NJ were

given warning it would happen. That Bloomberg wasn't told is the fault of his own people not the FAA or anyone else at the federal level.

He should have been told and he should have then told the numbnuts who wanted to do it that it was a phenomenally bad idea.

If it was still going to happen, a public announcement should have preceded it by a few minutes. I understand the need for secrecy to guard against being a target, but not to the point of alarming the public.
