Fucking uncompromising. They killed *everyone*. *EVERYONE*. This may be my favorite Star Wars movie and no one got out alive.
Neither here nor there, but I suspect the Director's personal guard were droids.
Oddly, the cast had a full roster of FPS characters in it: The tank, the ninja, the spy, the captain, the pilot, the tech guy.
As I posted below, the Vader Temple is superfluous, and seems intended only as a means to give Vader more screen time.
Ultimately, the script seemed to have mandates:
- Explain why the Death Star has such an obvious weak point.
- Explain why the Rebel Alliance has no fleet.
- Probably a couple of other points I forgot.
