By the way, I'm using Alton Brown's cheat for the fruitcake, since this is last minute. Rather than spritzing with brandy every day, I'm "re-hydrating" all of the dried fruit with bourbon, then spritzing with brandy for three days.
I'll let you know how it turns out. :-)
