I live in a metro area and have 2 service providers -- AT&T on my personal and Verizon on my work-provided phone.

Having them both has shown me how much better Verizon is here. My AT&T drops calls all the time, has random dead spots, etc. I do not have the same problem with my Verizon phone.
The phones themselves are different models, so it isn't a true comparison, but you get the idea.
