Interesting they should mention broken escalators. Last time I was in Sears - a few months back - the escalator wasn't working. I looked around for

an elevator, didn't see one, and finally tracked down an employee to ask.
"Oh yes, it's by the escalator"
"Well I found the escalator, but it's not working and I couldn't see an elevator anywhere around"
"Oh, not *that* escalator. The one over there in the men's department" !!
Umm....maybe some kind of signage to direct customers not familiar with the store?
