his supporters have displayed stunning levels of disconnection. As long as he blames someone else, someone their suspicious of would be best, they will continue to support him. To do otherwise would force them to admit they voted for a Con-Man and they've shown extraordinary levels of self protection so that won't happen.

He really could shoot someone and not lose supporters.
