Watching the highlights, it doesn't seem like that was a huge issue. They scored 31 and drove to take the lead with 2 minutes to go.

They didn't convert many 3rd downs, but it wasn't like they were overall lost on offense. They just couldn't stop Clemson when they needed to. If anything, their offense scored too quickly.
